Was very lucky with this one considering the reflections. It was an interesting discovery that with a just a little slower shutter speed (around 1" I think), the sun being at the right angle and enough wind, the reflections create unusual shapes - as if they were in motion. This is definetly something I am going to experiment with in the future.

Only a little pity that the log doesn't entirely fit in - if you look carefuly enough you will discover some bird crap on it, haha! I also sometimes get the feeling as if I had used the flash on the foreground (which I didn't it).

Canon eos 350D, EF-s 18-55, Singh Ray Circular Polarizer, Singh Ray Galen Rowell nd grad 3 stops hard.

Great Shot. Really really good composition and lighting. The detail in the log is jaw dropping.

The incredible thing about this photograph to me, is how although you've captured the cloudscape in the sky seemingly so still - upon the reflection of them on the water, it looks as if they are moving thousands of miles an hour... has a feeling of motion to it. But the colours are very nice, a little brighter than some of your other sunsets but they - that's a welcome thing as well :) I like the log in the foreground... it's nature right mate, and for me... very fitting to the image. Well done :)

Decide what you want, and then focus upon it. For it is through focusing upon it that you will attract it. That is the process of creating.
great. i really liked the reflections. and the log helps a lot in the composition providing kind of a motion...
Very good capture. :)
Great details and colors!

Well done!
