Pond reflection - nice!
At first I thought it was just bad PS effects =P

flott bilde av domkirka.. Tronheim er flott om høsten, ikke sant? :)

That is really amazing. The balance in the composition is wonderful with the church spire drawing the center line and creating such a wonderful symmetry to it. Maybe you could have centered it even a bit more, but that might just be cause my screen is on the side of my table... :P Anyway, I like the shot a lot :)

Oh WOW I thought it was photoshopped until I read the text.. I want to visit Norway now..
Beautiful colors plus we rarely see a full frame photo based on the reflection... I love it! =)

i can't believe it's a reflection... incredible shot !
rikausse Featured By Owner Nov 26, 2004
This is absolutely wonderful !
The framing is just awesome. I was surprised because I did not realize it was a reflection in water when I saw it in thumbnails.
It deserves a :+fav:

Love the shot and the use of reflection is a favourite of mine. But as you ask for advanced criticism,
did you try this with different composition, e.g place the church a bit to the side and keep one of
the now split trees intact? I have a theory that by tilting a bit to the left so you get the reddish tree
completely you might get a nice step-effect with the cathedral. But it might not work, just a thought.

(And yes, keep shooting reflection :-)

It's no wonder why it is one of yer favourite places - looks gorgeous and especially since there's water there too. When I saw this just as a thumbnail, I actually thought it was like - normal, no the reflection. Incredible job though. I love all the Autumn foilage and especially with the top of a cathedral as a focal point beyond the trees. I just love that this is the reflection too, it makes it so beautiful. The little bit of blur from the ripples is lovely. Great job.

Wow, i really thought that this was just a crappy photoshop filter.. This is such a cool idea.. btw, did you vertically flip the pic in postprocessing?
Fishermang Featured By Owner Nov 2, 2004
I had to turn it upside down to achieve the ordinary logical perspective :P

that must be a very smooth river
and the reflection captures EVERYTHING that it looks like you would if you were taking a picture of the actual scene itself
very cool

once again, i love the fall colors. (the water seems really still for a river!)

i can see why it's one of your favorite places :D

*Really* beautiful! I also love reflection shots because they lend themselves well to impressionist style paintings, which has the ability to add a special touch to photos. This is an excellent photo of a lovely scene, for sure! I think you've done very well and should be proud. :)

Great picture! Great idea to take only the reflection! Must take a good look to see that its a reflection in the water. At first i tought it was kind of blurry. Like it very much!
