First Night of Autumn

This is a scene that I had noted quite a while ago. As soon as I saw an opportunity for a colourful sunset I headed there, recomposed the scene and sat there for almost an hour waiting for sunset Nights are getting cold damnit. I shot around 50 shots of this, all with different clouds as they were moving pretty fast (windy evening). This one looked the best. I combined two ND grads (1-fstop + 3 f-stop) and used a neautral circular polarizer.

Not entirely satisfied with this one, as the foreground came out too messy and a little bit ugly, especially to the left from the log. Originally I wanted to shoot this earlier this summer when there was beautiful green grass there. I also have second thoughts aboot the placement of those graduated nd filters, since the water came out a little too bright. But this is a tricky scene with too many elements which I wanted to make visible
